Any suggestions for how to get rid of and prevent acne and acne marks?
As a teenager, I get acne. Now, it’s actually getting worse. It has spread to my cheeks… and no matter what expensive cream I use, it’s still there. I even watch the food I eat. Any suggestions; skin care products, creams, or anything that involves acne-vanishing? Thanks for helping. ![]()
Go to a dermatologist & get prescription products. At this point, you will probably be wasting your $ on over the counter products because you say it is getting worse.
I had a similar experience & my dermatologist recommended a topical antibiotic & Differin. These products really helped me and saved me from lots of trial & error. (i.e. piles of products; waste of time & $)
Try the Avon Clearskin products, they have a whole line and try the pore reducer cream which should help, also.
I had TERRIBLE acne until an old lady gave me a great idea.
She used alcohol on her face.
So what I did was I bought aftershave called "lectric shave" and every night before I went to bed I would wash my face and then splash on lectric shave. The first 1-2 times it stung like a bastard (pardon my french) but within 4-5 days, my acne was 90% gone and the rest was fading.
I have also heard friends use that alcohol based hand cleaning solution like purell, but it supposedly stings your eyes, so it may not be a good solution.
Try the lectric shave thing, it works.

Avon products do work. i had really bad acne problems, and acne-marks. my mom sells avon, so after i bought some other store things that didn’t work for me, i tried avon, and now at 21 i gott a babyface. which i never thought i would have after years of watchin my face full of pimple, so try AVON

Acne is due to hormonal changes, bad diet and unhealthy skin care habits. Sometimes, dandruff in the hair can also cause acne. Include green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. Drink a lot of water regularly to flush out toxins. Avoid deep fried snacks. More home remedies available at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html...
