Sorry to break this to you but acne treatment products are a scam. They're set up to mask acne, but never prevent it. This keeps people buying over and over again. It's a pretty good scam too because anyone with acne knows that's it's not something you can just ignore! It's really embarrassing and sometimes painful.

That being said, I've actually had positive results from ProActive. I hate their infomercials and a lot of things about their company. However, since it's over the counter and relatively easy to use I've been happy with it.
My ownly words of wisdom is that anything with peroxide in it will bleach your clothing and/or your sheets. Good luck!
