What do you recommend to prevent acne?
I’m a 16 year old boy and I am starting to have some mild acne (5 or 6 zits at a time) on my chin and lower half of my face. I exfoliate with a Neutrogena product almost every night and if not, I use Spectro Jel. I also have tried using Oxy wipe pads and Benzonyl Peroxide, but these both dry out my skin. Is there a certain routine that you would recommend for me?
Benzol peroxide is a great chemical for keeping acne away. Look at the pack and find one that has a low percentage of it so it doesn’t dry you face out so much. You should stop using the exfoliant so often. Once or twice a week is plenty, otherwise it can actually make it worse. Also, as strange as it sounds, you need a good moisturizer. One without oil. It does wonders for balancing out the dryness and oilness combination that acne treated skin has.
Clensing and moisturizing twice a day once you find the right products is the best thing to do.
I wash and tone every night and drink HEAPS of water – it’s helped me.
Also, try not to touch your face as you spread the oil from your hands to your face
Okay I have been to three dermatologists and tried almost everything you can think of but what has worked for me is just using St. Ives apricot scrub and a spot treatment. I take showers at night so that is when I use the scrub. You want to exfoliate well but don’t scrub it for like 5 minutes 1 is good. Then after I get out of the shower I apply a spot treatment all over my face. In the morning I just wipe my face off with a baby wipe and then add some more spot treatment and do my make up….not that you will have to worry about that part but anyways, hope this helps and I really think you should give it a try.
Acne is caused from imbalances and impurities within the body, and that’s why the best treatment would be an internal cleansing treatment that goes right to the source and fights acne before it even begins.

I found it helpful, I hope you would too!
Remember to use a gentle cleaning agent…like Phisoderm…twice daily. Don’t scrub hard, but thoroughly and I agree to drink lots of water and keep your hands away from your face. Start to notice if you do touch your face a lot…if so, keep your hands clean.
Medications make acne red and itchy before it gets better. That’s normal, but it sounds like you would be better of using natural cures. Here’s a link that might help you out. There are books under the "resources" section that go way more in-depth.
