Getting addicted to working out is great, however you should try to avoid anorexia, because truth be told if people can see your ribs, that’s just as bad as having a roll of fat hanging over your jeans – it ain’t sexy, for men or women.

As for becoming addicted to working out, just start off running in a park or even on a treadmill every morning for about 20 minutes. If you keep it up, your body will eventually just WANT that exertion and you’ll just start doing it without having to talk yourself into it.

The same goes for the gym, if you can keep yourself going for about a month or two consistantly, your body will get into a pattern of it.

It’ll start adapting to that pattern, and once you start seeing the results you want, your body will be as addicted to the gym as it is to your favorite foods, tv shows, movies, magazines, and whatever else you habitually use.

Exercise and anorexia are two different…anorexia will kill you, no one wants to be addicted to that..it’s not an addiction anyway, it’s a disease,,,you can just learn to enjoy exercise and do it often.

Haven’t you heard, addiction is a bad thing. Live life in moderation. All of those things are bad for you (particularly anorexia, which is actually a mental illness) when done to excess

There are lots of ways you can develop healthy exercise habits.Becoming addicted to something is a different story though. Magazine articles may use the term "addiction" as a positive thing, but you really don’t want to be addicted to something, because then you’ll do it so much that you’ll avoid other good stuff in life. Forget the anorexia too-that’s just a nasty health condition. The reason why people lose so much weight not eating anything is because they lose water and muscle weight. Water and muscle are two of the basic necessities a body needs to function, and that’s why when "anorexics" start to eat something, the weight rapidly comes back on. So try sticking to eating 3 healthy meals a day and trying out the aerobics and weight training. That will be a healthier routine for you.

To get started, you basically just have to look at what you naturally like to do. Don’t look at the latest fad in magazines unless it interests you. There are gyms that offer drop in aerobics classes where you can try it out to see if you like it (without having to sign up for a whole course at once), and some have drop in weight training centers where you can just go in and use the equipment. You can also take an introduction to weight training class so you know how to use the equipment, or just ask one of the staff members when you get there.

You can also try things like martial arts, swimming, yoga, step classes, "spinning" classes (riding stationary bikes to music with a group), jazz dancing, modern dance, and a host of other things. It all depends on what your interests are and what you’re comfortable doing.
