Does caffeine-induced anxiety disorder go away after caffeine withdrawal stops?
I am currently having major anxiety issues because I stopped taking caffeine. It has been 3 days since I stopped taking caffeine. How long does the disorder last? Does it stop after the withdrawal from caffeine stops?
I actually had caffeine-induced panic attacks. Or atleast, I believe that is the reason. Plus, I am a high energy person, so it didn’t help. I was on a vitamin that had a full day’s worth of caffeine and guarana in it, which I took a little over a year. Plus, I was drinking probably 2 cokes a day, and chocolate. My first panic attacks was a year ago and I’m finally getting over it now. I had to be put on antidepressants and xanax, which sucked. I learned the hard way what caffeine does to your body. It’s a great idea you quit. But, if you are having really bad anxiety, you may want to put a tiny bit of caffeine back in your diet for a week or so. You really don’t want this to end up as panic attacks cause they’re difficult to come back from. You may even want to visit your doc and see what they say. Good luck.
I didn’t get anxiety but I got SPLITTING headaches from caffeine withdrawal. Are you tapering off or did you quit cold turkey? It’s better to slowly go off of caffeine rather than to just stop, because of the withdrawal side effects.
