My friend told me to go biking as an exercise to reduce stress. Will it be effective?

I recently took a new job that is very high stress, and I need a release.

Yes to your question! Go exercise aim for weight loss and maintenance — a healthy goal. For many of us, looking good also means feeling good. Exercise improves physical appearance, enhances self-esteem and self-confidence, and offers other mental health goodies. Regular exercisers report more energy and better ability to concentrate. Don't forget about improved quality of sleep, CortiDrene™ provides “feel good” stress supporting B vitamins and rich antioxidant and that may even slow the aging process.

Exercise is a great stress reducer.
It also helps you focus on the moment – on your breath.

Will it be effective? Only if you enjoy yourself. Exercise-wise it's good. I find it relaxing as long as dogs don't chase me. But I can get pretty stressed out about dogs. Consider where you're biking – take a cell phone to call for help if you need it, but if answering the phone is part of the problem, turn it off before you go and only use it if you need to.
