Can a woman with high blood pressure have another baby?
Me and my husband was thinking about have another baby in 2 years, but I have high blood pressure during my first pregnancy. In my thought, I don’t want to hurt my husband’s feeling about not have another baby.
Of course! Just because it happened once does not guarantee it will happen again, and even if it did, prenatal care is so good these days your chances for having a healthy pregnancy are excellent.
my cousin has high bp, she got pre eclampsia with her first baby and was delivered at 27weeks
she got pregnant 2 years later and this time with twins, she got pre eclamsia again and delivered at 27 weeks
her babies are all fine and healthy now, youll b ok
I have to say that every pregnancy is different. With my first 2, I had high blood pressure, and GD.. I am currently almost 35 weeks with baby number 3, and I don’t have high blood pressure, and GD, but with all 3 the GD has been controlled with diet and exercise no insulin has been needed. I was also sick the entire time my first two pregnancy’s and this one I was only sick in the beginning. I hope this helps some. Remember that every pregnancy is different. I was able to have 2 babies, even though I had high blood pressure with the first two. This one has been a breeze comparitively.
All pregnancies are different. I am on baby #2 and have high blood pressure this time, but I did not have it the last time. Just becasue you get it once does not mean that you will have it with all pregnancies.
Absolutely you can have another baby. Pregnancy induced hypertension doesn’t necessarily happen with every pregnancy. Even if it does develop, they can usually manage it with medications, etc.
But if you’re worried, just talk to your OB before trying to conceive again to set your mind at ease.
